Many of these are also affordable drugstore dupes which are easy to find and which are a fraction of the price of MAC lipsticks. These are all dirty pinks which are either a perfect dupe or a very close dupe of MAC Mehr. If Mehr is difficult to find or is out of your makeup budget don’t worry because the good news is there are some affordable alternatives listed below.

Mehr works particularly well on Indian skin tones but is one of the most popular MAC shades around the world today on people of all skin tones from very light skin to very dark skin.
Mickey’s wife is called Mehr and he created the lipstick Mehr for her. Mehr was part of a Bollywood collection from MAC. Mickey has created many of MAC’s greatest shades. Mehr lipstick was originally created in 2011 by famous Indian professional makeup artist Mickey Contractor, who has worked with MAC for many years. The product itself is very pigmented and although it is a matte, like all MAC matte lipsticks it is comfortable to wear and not drying. It’s a great shade for everyday wear and it goes with almost any makeup look due to its neutrality and easy to wear creamy matte finish.
What this means is that it’s a pink with a touch of blue, that gives it a mauve appearance.ĭepending on your skin tone it can look more brown or more pink. MAC describe Mehr lipstick as having a dirty blue pink hue. NYX seem to be the favourite so far, which Helps because I adore anything by them. Now obviously I only wear certain shades of lippy, so can only comment on the ones I’ve tried but in almost certain there will be a dupe for every shade they stock. So as time as gone by, I’ve tried lots of different cheaper brands to see if I can find some similar colours. I really love all of the Mac range but like I said in my lipstick dupe post, I just can’t afford to buy them all the time. I love how they can change the shape of your mouth instantly without any effort. Just a mini blog tonight because I’m exhausted after having lots of fun with the kids today in the sun!
